Jiggling Icon to the left

What does it mean when the icon to the left of the post subject is moving? I'm guessing that topic is being viewed?

Nope. It means there's a new post to that thread since you last viewed it.

Orange icon = new posts.
White icon = no new posts.

Actually, I forgot about that "popular post" reason entirely I know there used to be a legend of sorts for those little icons that displayed the ones for "popular post" as well (at the bottom of the main index page there is only the main 3 icons listed) but I'll be darned if I can't find it now...

On the main index there only seems to be the 3 you indicate.

But at the bottom of the Excel forum index (I've not checked the others) there are more icons including the 'popular' one.
