I am working through a DB that someone else created. I have a report that I need to figure out what table and fields are being used to create the report.

What/How do I use the design view to show me? I thought if I clicked on the field in the Property Sheet I would see the table reference?

I know it is basic, but it I get pointed to that it will start to come back and I will be off and running.

If you start asking yourself if now is a good time to save your Excel workbook, the answer is Yes
Welcome to the Board!

Yes, bring up the Properties, make sure you are looking at the Properties for the Report itself, and not one of the objects on the report, and look at the Record Source property. This tells you which table/query the Report is based on.

Thank you! And yes, after starring at it, I realized that the query builder button was starring at me and hit if and bam, the query used to pull the data into the report.
