items.find method

I have an outlook folder I can access via excel (duh). I have no issues reading any those messages via a "for each" loop. However, this folder usually conatins around 5000 messages.

I would like to create some code that would use the "items.find" method so I could narrow the loop from reading 5000 messages to say 30 messages. The criteria would be based on the subject and senton fields in the message.

Once that criteria is met, I can figure the rest out. I just need to be abe to isolate the message.

The only examples I have found from Microsoft and others are for appointment or contact items. AND they are not very helpful.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
ODSmith
