Issues with Checkboxes and Text Boxes

Hello,

I am new to using macros and [FONT=inherit !important][FONT=inherit !important]VB[/FONT][/FONT] but am very familiar with other aspects of [FONT=inherit !important][FONT=inherit !important]Excel[/FONT][/FONT]. What I am working on is a spread sheet for writers for my newspaper. I have a spread sheet created Pictured here.

What i would like to do is have it to where the person who makes pays our writers can simply check the checkbox as a marked as paid. The bottom part will be locked but she can enter in the amount owed each week to the writer and simply click the check mark once paid. I have manually entered in the information on this [FONT=inherit !important][FONT=inherit !important]workbook[/FONT][/FONT] to show exactly what I would like to happen.

Explaination:

If checkbox_1 (IN C2) is unchecked then the amount is ADDED to D22

If Checkbox_1 is checked then the amount is ADDED to H22
