Issues with automatic updating of Excel charts in PP

Hi guys,

I've made a PP presentation with numerous charts. To make the monthly updates run smoothly, I've created dynamic references to the input vectors of these charts - you know, offset(,,,,counta()) and so forth. Then I paste the charts to PP, choosing the 'link data' option and everything immidiately works like a charm. My hope was that as soon as I entered the data in Excel and updated to chart in PP, the the new data would automatically be included. But when I close the PP and reopen to update nothing happens. Under 'Select data' it goes straight to the correct workbook, but the data reference has changed from the dynamic named range to =[0]!NameOfRange.

Any idea how I maintain the data connection after I close PP? I'm on Office 2013.

Thanks in advance.
