Hello All,

i am having issues with creating CF for a specific column.

column is for delivery ETAs. so most of the cells have a date in it, so the column is formatted to dates.

however for some of the cells we are waiting for the ETA so have "pending" written in it.

i can't seem to be able to CF the column to colour cells equal to "pending". - maybe because it is formatted to dates?

if this isn't possible may just have to see if i can CF a blank cell to change colour, and leave "pending" cells blank.
prefer to have "pending" though :)

thanks in advance

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
what conditional formatting rule do you currently have that isnt working?

it works fine for me
Formatted as date shouldn't make any difference.
Make sure you are putting the exact correct syntax for "pending"
Not Upper or Propercase, no leading trailling spaces.
So are you

Highlight column>>CF>>New RULE>>format cells that contain>>cell value>>equal to..pending
No brackets, no quotes, no spaces, no special characters !
