I have an excel spreadsheet with a pivot table field, Date. On June 30th, the current fiscal year ends, and a new one begins on July 1st. I have the data grouped one column for seven days, going from 7/1/2019 to 6/30/2020. I have usually been able to enter the new data range, and the Date pivot table updates correctly. I uploaded screenshots. The screenshot for this is image 01.

I am trying to change to the new dates, 7/1/2020 to 6/30/2021. The screenshot for this is image 02.

After I click ok above, it now creates a new pivot field, Days(Date) and messes up the file. The screenshot for this is image 03.

Does anyone know why the new pivot field is being created, instead of just updating the Date pivot field, and how to correct this? Thanks.

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
