Is viewing in preview pane anonymous?

Serious questions please, can't find the answer anywhere.

If I am to view an excel file or any file for that matter from preview pane which is without opening the file does anyone know?

Also, if someone is in that said excel file and I'm in preview pane will anyone know?

Hoping someone can answer me please.
 

Excel Facts
