I have a template that I make a copy of up to 10 times a day. On the front sheet I have a dropdown list with the name of the location of the track, the date and then a URL string that fills in the blanks on the path that I get my PQ data from.

I then head over a sheet and import a PQ onto that sheet.

As the only thing that is changing in the PQ path is 2 strings.
Eg:
String: 1Xe94-fWAHAj_A5y8x1XAahzqOEMqB7KZb77WQ2yuQdQ (this changes in every sheet)
Path:

Now I'm wondering is there's a way/hack in PQ that all I have to do is change that string and the data will change on the other sheet?

I tried recording a macro and excel didn't like it.

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
I’m not 100% sure what you are trying to do. maybe this is what you need, maybe not (maybe I’m not understandin)

What you can do is create a parameter table in Excel Just creat a table and add 2 rows for your 2 values. Load the table to PQ
set this table so it doesn’t load
reference this table
right click one of the cells, and ”drill down”
this should create a query that has the first value. Give it a good name
repeat for the second row

these values from Excel are now available in PQ to use in your queries. Find where the values are being used, and replace the hard coded values with these new queries.

one issue is you will likely have to refresh all queries twice, as it is not possible to control (reliably) the order of query execution.
