Excel Facts

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
in Power Query Editor you can select all columns then Replace Values (or Replace Errors)

it doesnt work
i changes a query name or changed a column name and then all following steps give me an error and in the M code i need to correct each change
is there a search and replace in advanced editor?

how about copying the M Code to Word, Find and Replace as necessary and then copy it back - not ideal, but possibly easier than searching yourself.

each step in the query needs to be corrected so this wont work
i need to go into the M code of each step and make the changes

hi
all of these are good idea however
i have 9 queries in my workbook
each query has over 20 steps if not more
i changed for ex. 1 column name that means each query every step will need the M code changed
that is easier still then recreating the query and all the steps

I still think copying to Word and using Find and Replace will work.

Go to the Advanced Editor screen where you can see all the steps in their pure M code. Then copy and paste to Word from there. Maker the changes and copy and paste back into the Advanced Editor.
