Hi

A question I've been pondering over that someone might have a decent answer to.

There are so many different ways of extracting data from tables/databases - INDEX/MATCH, VLOOKUP, Advanced Filter, Array Formulae, ADO Recordsets, Microsoft Query to name just a few.

Then there's DGET - in my humble and possibly ill-informed opinion, a formula so useless it can't even cope with more than one record which matches the selection criteria.

So here's my question. Given that we all have our preferred method of extracting data, is there any scenario that anyone would go for DGET ahead of other options such as those I listed above? I can't think of any time I'd ever use it.

Happy musing
