Hello!

Is there a way to merge vertically cells in a range? (i.e. merge together the cells of all the select rows within the same column)

Merging the left column cells and dragging the formatting to the right does not work well, because it does not keep only the top cell value, but it retains the values of the cells below. As a result, when you AVERAGE or SUM these cells you get wrong result!

Thanks

generally merged cells seem to be troublesome & best avoided at all costs

suggest you consider alternative approaches. whichever way you choose, so that anyone can offer advice please explain further specific details
