I have read that power query is not supported in Excel 2007 and earlier versions. I would like to know if there is any other way to run power query in Excel 2006? I have an assignment to run Power Query and my Excel is 2006. Any comment is highly appreciated.

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
Power Query is only available to XL2010 and later versions. You will need to update your Excel version to allow PQ availability. Your profile indicates you are using Office 2016, Is this incorrect?

Thanks. XL2016 is the Excel I use in my office. At home I use XL2007. I want PQ for my home Excel. I am thinking to use Google Sheet instead of XL2007. In the Internet, I read that I should install Power Tools in Google Sheet to be able to run PQ. But this is a little odd for me. I didn't understand why should I install an Add-In into a cloud-based software. But anyway I think I have to follow the game rules. There are many references in the Internet, Will be very happy if you guide me, where to look for fundamental info to install Power Tools in Google sheet and accomplish my task in the earliest possible time.
