There is a book:
Excel VBA Programming For Dummies by John Walkenbach written in 2004.
I've got that book. It's a good intro but many of the examples are for Visio, not Excel.
If you want to learn Excel VBA, get an Excel-based reference for your version or earlier. (You can use books written for an earlier version but you'll find that some of the examples won't be the most efficient, because extra features -- in pivot tables, for example -- get added, and the code changes to suit). For the same reason, some code in books later than your version just won't work, because those features don't exist yet -- if you get what I mean...

The book "VBA for Dummies" was written in 1998, and it does not revolve around Excel; it revolves around VBA in general.
Is this worth going through, do you think (I REALLY need something basic)?
Thanks,

I still use my Visual Basic User's Guide for Excel Version 5.0 (copyright 1993 -1994) that shipped with my first copy of MS Office
