Hi All,

Is there a formula that if the last cell in a range is A6545, that it can return 6545 as a value in another cell.

Secondly, if that is possible, can I link that cell value, which in the above example would be 6545 to a named range. So, the range always starts from A1 and ends in A (whatever the value is the last cell in that range), which in the above example is 6545?

Any help appreciated - TY - Mark.

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Last row number of cell in a column

=LOOKUP(2,1/(A1:A10000<>""),ROW(A1:A10000))

Dunno about the second question.

If the Range is actually a Table, yes. Using the Array formula.
Code:
{=MAX(ROW(Table1))}

You can easily modify that to determine the cardinal coordinates of any Table.

In name manager use.

Code:
=Sheet4!$A$1:INDEX(Sheet4!$A:$A,MATCH(1048577,Sheet4!$A:$A,1))

The named range will go from A1 to the last number in column A
