Hi, I'm just wondering if this is possible. It would be kind of useful.

Thanks,

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
What do you mean? Where do you want to append a query to? More details needed :)

Hi, I've done a bit of investigating, and I think what I really want to do is to run a union query that only involves a subset of the total fields in my primary query. A software development profession friend (unlike myself) told me that I can put in null values for all of the fields I don't want to union, and this should work. I haven't tested this, but I imagine this is the way to go?

My solution before receiving this information was to run a make table query, and then run an append query off the make table query. This works, but didn't seem like the most efficient solution.

Thanks!

I may be reading your question wrongly, but you should be able to run an append query from a valid query of any sort. The 'Add Table' button allows you to use queries as if they were tables, so that negates the need to create a temporary table. As Dan said, though, more details of your table structures and query SQL syntax are needed.
