first, the normal Excel sheet UI beahvior is, shen scrolling down the sheet which has a Table object, the Table's headers replace the normal A, B, C....

Image 1: Scrolled up, Table headers not overriding the A, B,

Image 2: Scrolled down, now Table headers now override the A, B,

but notice the header names are partially obscured because Excel does not wrap the text.
Can this be fixed (without widening the columns)?

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
That only happens when you have selected a cell within the table. Click on C2 and then watch your headers when you scroll again.

Hello johnny51981, you're correct that all this does not apply if the active cell is outside the Table.

To clarify my situation
I have selected a cell in the Table. and I want to see the full header names as I scroll down the Table.
Some rough solutions:
(1) Freeze panes so first row of Table is always in view. (But in my case, some Tables start many rows down from row 1, so the frozen area eats up a lot of screen area)
(2) Do (1) then Group rows, to hide those I don't need to see, & gain back some screen area.

All take work, more than if Excel could simply wrap that text!
