Has anyone any toughts or examples of where Excel (or any other application - please no cries of "Is there another application?" :-( ) could be utilised (convincigly) today.

What about the opposite? Should the two be kept well apart? :-D

Excel Facts

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
perhaps:

Private Sub Workbook_Open()
MsgBox "You're chucked you two-timing slapper"
End Sub

??

I'd swear that Erik once posted some kind of VBA routine that drew a heart and animated it. But perhaps I imagined the whole thing, for I cannot seem to find the post?

...why not PM the guy then...
-Erik

That would be because my PM outbox is full and I'm a pack rat and I like to copy messages before I delete them and I haven't gotten around to doing that. Besides, sending you a private message about hearts and valentines and such...I didn't want you to get the wrong idea...I mean I'm a married man 'n' all, ya know...

Greg Truby,

to my sense you've spoken wise words
but
my PM outbox is full
how do you do that ?

anyway: feel free to send an email when the problem occurs again :-D

OK, OK, smartiepants - my "sent" box is full, not my "out" box if you want to split hairs.

Oh - and actually that code helped me on a project yesterday. I had plum forgotten about TIMER and was going to use WAIT instead. So thanks!
