I have an excel spreadsheet (excel 2010) , There is a column in a sheet that when i type text , the text will be disappeared from the cell, cant see on formulas bar as well. But when I type number, i can see it like normal cell. I thing this column is set some formula to allow only number. Can you advise how to change this column to be a normal column?

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Welcome to MrExcel.

If you right click the cell and choose Format Cells what is in the Type box on the Number tab? This would have the result you are seeing:

General;General;;

The cell is set formula and the formula is hidden. Could you please advise how to reveal it. I selected Formulas and click show formulas but the hidden formula still has not been revealed.
