I need to calculate a ratio on the number of days an investor 's funds are used in a portfolio. That's simple, but here's the kicker: the funds can be transferred at several different times and the same investor can contribute several times, which in turn means that those funds can be used at several different times. for reporting, I have to show the preferred interest based on the # of days an investor's funds has been used, over the current lifespan of the fund (i.e. 30 days over 300 days for one movement of the investor's fund plus 150/300 days for another). What happens at the end is a statement as to the total of the investor's funds and one preferred interest percentage.

I can do this one one spreadsheet, but I thought there might be something easier, even if I have to create it using input sheets for each investor that recap in one place. Any suggestions?
