Hi,

Forgive me, I think I know a little about a lot =)...

My database links several tables through ODBC connections. As of a few days ago, I get the "Invalid Argument" error when trying to run a make table query.

What's weird is that I can run a select query with criteria selections, but I get the error when I try to run a make table or append query. I also can not save any new query attempts.

Another query I ran is created by date specification, but I get the error here as well.

I have compacted and repaired 1 database, but when attempting that on my other computer, I get the error again.

ANY IDEAS to overcome this hurdle?

Thanks in advance!

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
I've figured out what the issue was. Both the databases I was using were each at capacity of about 2 gbs. Afterwards I also found out that 2gbs is an MS Access limit as to the maximum size.

So for anyone seeing this error when you shouldnt...check the database size and possibly run a compact & repair from the tools menu.
(Although one of my databases even gave me the error when attempting to compact)
