Hi Folks

I am wondering if somebocy can assist me in resolving a slightly intermittent problem of external file link in Excel 2007.

There is a main Excel file that has external links to 2 other files. When the value is entered for instance 1 or 2 (this corresponds to a month) all works and updates well. However, when this value is updated to 3 or more there are #Ref errors appearing in the worksheet.

The only way this will then work is if all the other external files are opened.

I have renamed files and updated the links in the macro link window upon opening the excel file. I have also checked that the auto update and auto update of links is ticked in advanced options but this has made no difference.

Thanks in advance.
