Insufficent disk space for power query load

I have been working with a large dataset through power query approx 300 million rows and 43 columns after merges. When loading to the data model the load stops early on saying there is insufficient disk space. I am working on an Azure virtual machine with a C drive approx 100GB and temp drive of 700GB. Can I get excel to work with the query in the data model on the temporary drive instead of the C drive or is there another solution?

I have no experience with it.
I'd suggest that you post this question in MS's TechNet Forum ( https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/home?forum=powerquery ) MS's techs there are very helpful and probably know these insides.
