Instead of nested IF statements - Simple question

Hello!

I want to return data from a certain column based on an IF statement.

It is very simple but I have 200+ columns of data so I can not use multiple IF statements.

See the attached picture for the best explanation.

Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
Could not find a way to attach the document but I will write the current solution here:

=IF(A1=1,B1, IF(A1=2,C1, IF(A1=3,D1....

Basically, I want to type in the name/nr of the column and return its value.

Is this what you need?

=INDEX($B$1:$Z$1,$A1)
