Inserting templates with ref. to destination workbook = #REF!

I have made several report templates, each with different cells linking to a 'Project Data' source sheet.
Within the templates themselves I haven't included the source sheet. So obviously: I end up with a lot of #REF! errors in this first step, though that isn't a problem by itself.

I'm starting every new job with a blank 'Project Data' sheet. After I've filled in the basics, I'll start adding my templates to the workbook. Now, I thought the references to 'Project Data' should become automatically activated - except they don't. They still show up as #REF!.

Just by doubleclicking them and pressing enter: it works. But I can't figure out how to "refresh all" (already tried the different variations of F9).

Please, pretty please, can someone take a look at this? Would be happy to add more details if that'll help. Just let me know, and I'll try my best to explain.

Hmm... VBA coding can run a "force refresh" of all cells, right? Triggered each time I insert a new template into my work document.
I would prefer to avoid the use of VBA, but if I can get VBA to click every cell and press enter, I guess that would solve my problem.

Help would be appreciated, since I don't know anything about VBA.
