I have a sheet that has lots (120,000) cells with index(match()) formulas in. The sheets seems to calculate reasonably quickly and the model is usable for adding data etc, there is no major lag.
The problem is that when I insert a row on that sheet it takes around 4 minutes to complete. This is odd as I am adding rows at the bottom of the sheet and there are no full column ranges used in the formulas. I saw mentioned elsewhere that if the new rows affect the index's (such as if there were full column references in the index) this would cause a lot of memory use, but the rows I am adding shouldn't affect the existing cells/formulas.
Am I missing something? Does adding new rows cause all cells to be updated on a sheet?
