Inserting Outlook Links to Folders

I work with some dense people who don't seem to open things unless you provide them with a link.

My problem then, is that Outlook (Office 2000) will only let you present a link to a file rather than a folder.

Does anyone know how to tell Outlook to link to the folder rather than a specific file?

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
"File://" seems to work but it doesn't work well with spaces in the pathname.

Set pathname as hyperlink in MS Word -then copy and paste into Outlook.

Seems like a backwards way of doing things.
