Insert hyperlink greyed out

Hi--

I have limited experience with Access. We have a form with text boxes and some of the people who are using it have asked about being able to type a hyperlink in with their other project information, so that people who are reading the information can easily find a document that further elaborates the point being made.

I assumed we could either type it or use insert hyperlink, neither works. Insert Hyperlink is grayed out. I opened a different database and tried there, as well, in case it was the way this particular one was set up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
