Hi folks,
is there any way to insert a table into an unlocked Excel cell (or merged range of cells) on a protected worksheet?
I've tried convering to an image but it doesn't retain the formatting.

Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
1. Excel has a "Camera" feature allowing you to take a picture of your table
- when pasted elsewhere the picture should look the same as the original
- values are linked to the original data (as data changes, so does the picture)
- the picture cannot be pasted unless sheet protection allows it (see 2 below)
- link to helpful "Camera" tutorial: https://trumpexcel.com/excel-camera-tool/

2. Sheet protection has an option to allow users to Edit Objects
- when protecting the sheet, scroll down through the options and click that box
- clicking the box allows pictures and shapes etc to be pasted to the sheet

Solution
Thanks Yongle,
I was totally unaware of the Camera tool.
That's exactly what I was looking for.
