If I wanted to create a text field for an employee ID that is 5 digits and I want create a rule to make sure someone can only enter 5 digits - no more no less -- would that be an input mask? And if so, anybody know the syntax?

Thanks!

Excel Facts

Back into an answer in Excel
Use Data, What-If Analysis, Goal Seek to find the correct input cell value to reach a desired result
Only 5 characters would be set by establishing the field size property to 5
Requiring 5 characters only would require a validation rule.

Len([fld1])=5

Set these by opening the table in design mode, clicking into the specific field and then changing the values in the field properties window on the bottom.
