I want to create a field on a form that only allows the user to enter 120 characters. I believe I should set the input mask to all C's. However, do I have to put in 120 C's or is there a better way to do that? Thanks in advance for any help!

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Does it have to be EXACTLY 120 characters, or is that the upper limit?
If it's just the upper limit, go to Design view in the table that contains the field, and change the Field Size to 120.

The upper limit is 120 characters. However, the field is not on a table...its a text field on the form. I didn't use table fields, because the users wanted the option of canceling the form without saving any information.

Well, I think you're stuck with an input mask. However, you can set it for optional characters so your users don't always have to enter 120...
L???????????????????????????????????????????? is one example -- One compulsory letter to start, followed by optional # of text chars. Enter as many ? as you need.
