Hi all,

Is there a way to use the indirect function to "lookup" which list to create in a dependent validation list?

Field 1: Luminaire Category: I have multiple luminaire categories: arealight, wallpack, linear, highbay

Field 2: Sub-Category: Depending upon the value of the luminaire category, the validation list of the next field (sub-category) will be different.

In excel, I could use the indirect function, which would give me the validation list I wanted. Is there a way to do that in access?

All help is greatly appreciated!

Not sure but you might want to look at the DLookup function. Some example data that explains the related field (sub category) to the primary field, along with the desire result would probably help you get a more focused answer.
