Hi,

I need some help with an excel file.I have tried to do it with an index match function, and some cells come up with #NA other cells will come up with a value. Every month I pull a report (Discover Report) that has three columns. The first column is the project number, second column is the top task number, and the third column is the sub task number. Now, on the discoverer report the top task number and the sub task number is wrong for each project number.I have a report ( "Accurate File") that has majority of the projects on the discover report, and it has the right top task and sub task for each project.

Is there anyway to pull the sub tasks and top tasks from the "Accurate File" with each corresponding project number into the Discoverer Report? I tried Index/Match but I don't think I did it right? If there is any other way besides Index Match I am definitely interested.

Thanks for all help

Save Often
If you start asking yourself if now is a good time to save your Excel workbook, the answer is Yes
MATCH() works with unique data.
I'm afraid that in your search columns the data isn't unique.
Project Toptask Subtask
100 1 1
100 1 2
100 1 3

Make a new column with unique data.
example: = A2&"|"&B2&"|"&C2
