Hi,

I have an index/match that copies the value of the cell to another place, but I was wondering if it was possible to copy the format of the cell?

i.e. if the cell matches another cell, copy the value and cell colour?

Any questions, please let me know.

Cheers,

Eoin

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
Unfortunately, it's not possible to achieve this with a worksheet formula.

It may be possible (although far from straightforward) with vb.

Formulas can reflect values from one place to another, they can't reflect formatting.

In the cell with the formula, you can try conditional formatting to get something similar, but it's not actually "reflecting" the original formatting, it's creating new formatting based on the C.F. formulas you put in that cell.

Checking in to see if this is now possible with formulas in Excel 2016, or if VBA is still the only option.
