Incredibly slow worksheet

Hi,

I have a workbook which is running very slow in just one worksheet. It is almost unworkable. I cannot scroll, the page constantly freezes and occasionally the workbook crashes. When it does work I can use the other worksheets without any issue. The worksheet in question has a lot of formulas in but is only around 330 rows.

I have tried the following with little improvement:

  • Converted the file from .xlsx to .xlsb which reduced the file size from 24MB to 7MB;
  • Tuned on manual formula calculation;
  • Deleted all rows below the last row of data; and
  • Deleted some unneeded worksheets.

None of the above have made much difference. If anyone has any tips I would be very grateful as there is some important data in the worksheet.

Thanks in advance,

Paul

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
do you have volatile formulas, you might consider adjusting the iteration from options
