Hi

I have two tables one with aug accounts and one with June accounts.

I need to make a query that will show only accounts which are in both tables and where the value has increased in Aug. Additionally I need to know by how much it has increased.

Any help would be appreciated as I am a complete novice.

Cheers

J

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
How about something like this:

SELECT [tblAugust].[Value]-[tblJune].[Value] AS Difference, tblAugust.Acct
FROM tblAugust INNER JOIN tblJune ON tblAugust.Acct = tblJune.Acct
WHERE ((([tblAugust].[Value]-[tblJune].[Value])>0));

HTH,
Mike.
