I'm using Access 2000 on NT platform.

In my main form, I want to be able to copy the entire record and paste so I don't have to manually enter duplicate information again. The serial # will be the primary key and will need to be blank or deleted after the copy and the new serial # entered. I know how to do it in a table, but not the form.

Thanks for the help.

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
If all the fields on the form are bound to table values then you can use the record navigator at the bottom to go to a new record and you will get blank fields on the form and a new record ready in the table.

That's not what I need. I don't need a blank record. I need to duplicate the entry and change the serial number. All other info on the form will be the same but the serial #. So the person entering the data would key in all the data on the form. Then I need to copy that record changing only the serial #.

Hope that clears it up.
