Importing from Web

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
File - Open and specify the XLS URL as the file name, e.g. http://www.census.gov/const/C30/totsa.xls. Do this with the Macro Recorder running to determine the VBA code required to open the file automatically.

If you want to import all the XLS files without knowing their URLs you could use InternetExplorer automation on your web page and loop through the Document.links collection looking for links containing ".xls".
