Importing files in new template

Hello,

I have a new project to work on, and I am trying to find the best approach to get this done.

In short, I have files summarizing business with our customers (about 400 of them). The format is not perfect, but I can probably work with it (columns are always the same, but information is not always stored in the same row).
From those files, I would like to transfer the information in a new template that is already designed. It is much easier to read and has functionalities (Macros) in it.

My idea is that (1) I need to open one file of the current template, (2) Open the new blank template, (3) Transfer the data from the current template to the new one, (4) Saves As the New Template, (5) Close both files, (6) Loop back to the first step using the next file, (7) Stop the loop when there is no more current template.

Any advice?
Is it the best approach?
Has anyone done something that could help me?

Thanks in advance,
