Hi all,

My apologies if I am posting this in the wrong section. I am new to the forum (I am also fairly new to excel). I would like some help from yourselves if possible? I am fairly sure there is a simple solution, I just do not know it.

I have a frustration with spreadsheets I have been working with on a monthly basis; I have been dividing the data manually into five separate worksheets. The solution I am looking for is to import the data as a receive it in a workbook with a PivotTable set up to break the data down to set specifics.

So I receive sales data on one workbook/sheet and this data is then required to be broken down to five sections. I have set up a PivotTable with the five sections attributed to the location the sale comes from. I.E location A,C,E belong to section 1 and B,F,G,H belong to section 2 etc. There is no fixed pattern to locations/sections but they stay the same (location A will always belong to section A). The problem lies in the fact a location may be added/deleted from month to month so I want to import the sales data linked to the location then break it down to the five sections.

Does this make sense? I have tried researching for the solution and come across potential solutions in Marco Recorder/VBA but in my nativity I do not understand these functions.

Any help greatly appreciated. If further explanation is required, I will do my best to get across what I require.
