Hello all,
This my my first time using a forum like this so bear with me please.
I'm working on a spread sheet to track inventories and sales. I'd like to auto populate new tabls with information from exsisting tabs, ie. product names, formulas and final inventory figures. Is there an easys way to do this or will I need to write a macro. Also I've never written a macro so if one is needed any help on getting started on that would be great! Thanks very much for the help!

Hi jkernaghan, welcome aboard. There is an abundance of information available in the Forum website. The FAQ and Community segments offer information that covers all types of subjects concerning Excel and VBA. You can also browse the different threads in the forum to see how problems are presented and solutions are provided. It is best to read the articles providee by the site moderator which give directions on how to post your questions using screen shots and even shared servers. We are all volunteers on the forum and while some are professional, most are just ordinary users who happen to have some expertise in areas they respond to. But none of us are mind readers and we cannot see your work documents, so when you post, be sure to include enough information so an analysis of your problem can be made and a solution offered.

Welcome to the Board!

If you follow the HTML Maker link in my sig you'll be able to post shots of your sheet(s).

In the meantime, you might want to take a look at VLOOKUP in the helpfile. And there's a tutorial here. You'll also find an article there about getting started with the Macro Recorder.
