Rather than creating a menu is it possible to import a menu
from another .mdb?

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
Norie

I created the menu in A2003, cannot remember how (was 10-12 years ago)
Had found an article on the net which stepped me through the process.

It is the main menu, starts up at load time and is always visible.
Has 8 entries, each with drop down choices.

Still not 100% sure what menu(s) you are referring to but you might want to try this.

1 Goto External Data.

2 Select New Data Source>From Database>Access.

3 Browse to the database that has the menu(s).

4 Click OK.

5 In the Import Objects dialog click Option>>> and select Menus and Toolbars.

6 Click OK.

I don't have a database set up right now to test the above but it's the only thing I've found for importing Menus/Toolbars.

Yes it can be imported as described, but you will have to hide the Ribbon in 2007 and later db's, or have it show up as a menu that's docked on the ribbon. You may not like how it interacts with the ribbon. If you hide the ribbon, you will lose any functionality that it provides that your menu doesn't have, although I suspect some context menus and keyboard shortcuts would work. You will also need the module(s) that contain the functions belonging to your custom menu.
