I got data in an excel sheet that I need imported into adobe indesign.

SKU | DESC | SIZE
340 | Dog Bone | Large

Say that is the excel sheet. In indesign i want a text box that pulls 340 into it, and a text box that pulls dog bone into it, and so on.....

Now I need it to look in this excel sheet for that sku #(so it knows what row it is....sku# wont change, but row number will) and update the desc and size fields for that row in case they change.

didnt know if their was just a code i could type in the text box for the DESC field like: (=c:/example.xls;row containing sku.340;for col=desc)

just typeing a code would be easiest if thats possible....i got hundreds of SKU's.....

Pretty simple stuff I just dont know how to do it and couldnt find a help file that helped me enough.....

anyone help me?
THanks!

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
