Hi folks

Can anyone advise on image control in Acess 2003.

I have a database with about 200 entries each of which I would like to link to a unique image. Images are in a separate folder.

I would like to be able to pan and zoom in and out of the images from within Access.

Any help would be much appreciated

Regards

I note that I have the reference to the image in the subform also. I really can not beleive I can not get this to work?!

I'm sorry to repeat the question but how are you actually using the function?

How are you referencing everything?

Where is all the code located?

What are the record sources for the form and subform?

What link(s) do you have between the form and the subform?

Finally, what is the actual problem?

No image being loaded?

Wrong image being loaded?

Code errors?

Problem with the function?

(Note that could mean it not picking up the correct values/references)

The code is under two modules as referenced in the MS document (ref I posted).

Record sources are Sites and Trees respectively.

The link is the parent / child relationship exists between two differently named headings - this is fine.

Wrong image now being loaded - the reference is wrong???

When you say the wrong image, is it totally random what image that is loaded?

Or is it the image from the previous/next record?

What about the other link you mentioned?

If you want to check if the reference, or anything else, is wrong, step through your code with F8.

Its stepping through 6 images ending with the image I want shown on all six steps. The reference I want to reference is the first text box on the subform but I know it will not work as the stepping code is set up for another function - well Im fairly sure that is why the same system wont work.

Definetely not random.

The other link - basically that is a reference in the parent form is query linked to the subform so that several items for the parent reference appear in the subform - the latter being various deatils in a number of text boxes for each instance - does that make sense?

I keep thinking I need something that works like an if function in excel - so the text box looks at another text box in the subform and then looks up and displays the correct image

Sorry but what are you stepping through exactly?

I thought there was a direct link between the main form and subform via some sort of ID.

How are you populating the subform?

Is that link returning more than one result for the same ID?

eg you have ID 4 on the main form, and on the subform there are 4 images with ID 4.

Usually with a parent/child link it involves one ID, the ID from the main form determining what record(s) appears in the subform.
