how would I change this formula to change from sum C13:L13 when inserting a column on schedule 11 and C13:M13 when inserting two, etc?

=IF(SUM('Schedule 11'!C13:K13)<>'Schedule 12'!C13,"ERROR!","")

Thanks

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Indirect would bypass the cells being changed by adding rows/columns:

=IF(SUM(INDIRECT("'Schedule 11'!C13:K13"))<>INDIRECT("'Schedule 12'!C13"),"ERROR!","")

I actually am wanting the K to change each time I insert a column. when I roll forward one month I'd like it to check C:L then C:M, C:N, etc....

Make Column C:L a named range then when a column is inserted it should automatically increase the named range. Reference the named range in your formula.
