Hi everyone.
To go to the bottom line, I am trying to figure out
if it is possible to use selection query design to handle blank cells in the data table.
I have a table of State Names and some of them don't have any (Blank Cells).
I have to show the actual value if the cell is non-empty and "XX" if a cell is an empty cell.
Can I use IFF statement to practically 'update' blank cells"?
I used update query and the problem is it permanently changes values in the original table.
Thanks a lot!

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
Just use the NZ function in a calculated field in your query. The NZ function returns either:
1. the value if not blank
2. some designated value if blank

So this should do exactly what you want.
