Hello,

How would I add an"IFERROR function to this string "=IF($D$1='[MAIN FC 6.10.24a.xlsx]PARTS'!$G$4,INDEX('[MAIN FC 6.10.24a.xlsx]PARTS'!$AD$7:$AD$246,MATCH(B4,'[MAIN FC 6.10.24a.xlsx]PARTS'!$G$7:$G$246,0)))"

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
If that formula works, just wrap it in your IFERROR statement, i.e.
Rich (BB code):
=IFERROR(IF($D$1='[MAIN FC 6.10.24a.xlsx]PARTS'!$G$4,INDEX('[MAIN FC 6.10.24a.xlsx]PARTS'!$AD$7:$AD$246,MATCH(B4,'[MAIN FC 6.10.24a.xlsx]PARTS'!$G$7:$G$246,0))),"what to return if error")

Thank you very much! That worked. I did get part of it right but I messed up the end.

You are welcome. Glad I was able to help.

Please note, in the future, when marking posts as the solution, we ask that you please mark the actual post containing the solution, not your own post acknowledging that another post is the solution. I have updated this thread for you.
