Hi, i want to make sure if texbox field is filed out...
If Texbox1.value = "" does not work in access
this is a no field...
what are the ways to trap this and alert user to fil out the field...?

And one more small thing...I have email id in record like pedie@live.com when the email is trigered it is showing as 'pedie@live.com' and wont triger the email...i am setting this records as string....

is that the reason why?

I use the one I posted because one of the guys from Access World Forums, who is a very highly technical programmer, and who has run myriad tests, tells me that this is the most efficient way. I don't get too into all of the real technical details but I guess it is more efficient than using the NZ function since it doesn't require it to go through that and convert. Also, using vbNullString instead of "" is more efficient because it is a VBA Constant and is slightly more efficient than having to do a check of what "" is.

I trust his judgements as I can't say I've ever seen him proved wrong about anything. I've tried but haven't come out on top. His username if you want to look at his posts is ChrisO.

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Thanks for the info guys. Sometimes my brain has to try to comprehend why one way is better than another way before it will let me do it!
