Quarterly review formula
Formula: =IF(X3=3,IF(SUM(A1:A3)>=B4,SUM(A1:A3),SUM(B4-(A1:A3))))

I am having an issue with the last SUM in this formula. Chances are I am using the wrong function. Thank you for any assistance you can provide

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
I'm guessing there is more to your question, but at a purely "grammatical" level...

Formula: =IF(X3=3,IF(SUM(A1:A3)>=B4,SUM(A1:A3),B4-SUM(A1:A3)))
