IF statment MERGED Cells

Hi,

Is there a way that as a result of an IF statement that 3 cells become merged?

IE:

IF cell 1A> 2 merge cells 2A, 2B, 2C
Else Nil

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
record the merging as a macro, then you can see how it would be constructed
